The Event

This event will run over the course of 5 days from the 19th to the 23rd October at different locations around Sydney and will include workshops by local and international guests.

Guests are more than welcome to attend the Workshops and to come along and support the Batizado. We would love for you to be apart of our 1st Capoeira Brasil Batizado & Encounter!! We would like to extend an invitation other schools to join in and participate in the workshops and excitement of the batizado.

Tuesday 19th

6:00pm: Capoeira /Dance Workshop (guest TBC)

7:30pm – 9:30pm: Capoeira Angola Workshop – Mestre Roxinho – Capoeira ECAMAR

Wednesday 20th

5:00pm to 6:00pm – Kids workshop – Contra Mestre Rodriguinho- Grupo Senzala

7:00pm – 8:00pm – Maculele Workshop – Contra Mestre Rodriguinho – Grupo Senzala

8:30pm – 10:00pm – Capoeira Workshop /Welcome Roda – Mestre Boneco

Thursday 21st

6:00pm – 9:00pm Workshop + Roda – Mestre Boneco

Location: Newtown – St Stephens Church hall,189 Church St.  Newtown

Friday 22nd

6:00pm – 9:00pm: Workshop + Roda – Mestre Boneco

Location: Redfern- Redfern Town Hall – 73, Pitt St. Redfern

Saturday 23rd

11am – 12pm – Aulão ( open class ) with Mestre Boneco

12:15pm BATIZADO and Troca de corda

Location: National Centre Of Indigenous Excellence. 180 George St. Redfern

Cost

1 day workshop:  $50

2 days workshops: $100

3 days workshops: $140

4 days workshops: $190

*Aulão & Batizado

If you register for 2 or more days workshops then your participation in the aulão on the 23rd is free. If you wish to just attend the aulão before batizado on the 23rd then it will be a cost of $40.

Batizado entry is free of Charge.

* Please note that you will need to wear a white Capoeira shirt ( or any plain white shirt ) to participate in the Aulão and Batizado
